Through God's provision and my Dad offering me a plane ticket to Charlotte, NC this year, I will be able to attend the She Speaks conference for the first time! It will be my first writers or speakers conference in general and the first time away from my husband and kids. Praise God for opening doors. Charlene, I really look forward to meeting you there. What you and the rest of the Proverbs 31 team do, is invaluable!
I raised my money by selling a cookbook that my sister, my daughter and I published a couple of years ago and had quite a few left over, so I advertised wanting to attend She Speaks but could not financially afford it and trust me.......truly a miracle! I sold enough cookbooks to attend the ocnference! Amazing the power of our Lord!

I'm in your speaker group. I'm looking forward to this year. Last year was my first and didn't have a clue as to what to expect. Last year, I mainly stayed in the Women's Ministry area, but I thought I would branch out this year.
I have to confess I was a bit paranoid last year. All of the ladies were so nice and friendly and smiling at me. I don't get that in normal life. (I investigate insurance fraud and don't typically deal with many ladies, and when I deal with women, if they are smiling I've got to up my game -- haha.)
I am blessed this year to be bringing my mom. I am so excited to be able to share this experience with her. She has a heart for women, writing and speaking.
